Eva Galchenko is an of counsel in the New York office of Brooks & Berne. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and United States District Court for the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York. Eva has substantial experience in all aspects of insurance defense litigation and handles a diverse caseload of construction defects, general premises liability, workers’ compensation, and automobile litigation matters from inception to resolution. She regularly defends contractors, building owners, commercial landlords and tenants, and employers among others, in personal injury and workers’ compensation actions. Eva also engages in appellate practice and has prepared and argued appeals before the New York State Appellate Division, Second Department.
Prior to joining the firm, Eva worked as a legal compliance consultant for a multinational ethanol trading company and served as an assistant district prosecutor in the Tomsk region prosecuting high level felony cases. Eva is fluent in English and Russian.
Ms. Galchenko was born and raised in Tomsk, Russia. After graduating from Tomsk State University Institute of Law in 2001, she served as an assistant district prosecutor in the Tomsk region prosecuting high level felony cases.
Ms. Galchenko received a Master of Laws in International Law from the University of Houston Law Center in 2012. She is licensed to practice law in New York. In 2018 Ms. Galchenko received New York Super Lawyers Rising Star recognition in the field of Workers’ Compensation. Ms. Galchenko is fluent in both English and Russian.
