Moira T. Dillaway earned her JD from Rutgers School of Law – Newark in 2008 and her BA from New York University in 2004. In 2021, she was certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a civil trial attorney.
Ms. Dillaway began her career in 2008 as a law clerk for the Honorable Maureen B. Mantineo, P.J.F.P., presiding judge in the family court, Hudson County. Thereafter, she worked as for the state of New Jersey as a Law Guardian, representing children in abuse and neglect cases. Ms. Dillaway also worked in private practice handling custody and matrimonial matters.
Ms. Dillaway is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York state courts. She has served as a civil settlement panelist in Morris County. She resides in Morris County, New Jersey with her family and two rescue dogs.
Prior to joining Brooks & Berne, Ms. Dillaway worked as staff counsel at two major insurance companies. Since 2016, she has exclusively defended individuals and corporations in automobile and premises liability litigation and has tried numerous cases to verdict in Essex, Passaic and Morris County.
